How Much Privacy Do Cincinnati Patio Homes Have?

If you love living in the woods with no one close to you, then a Cincinnati patio home might not be the perfect fit! 

Cincinnati patio homes are typically one smaller lots (think 1/4 acre or less), so you're typically in fairly tight proximity to your neighbors.  However, that doesn't mean you totally give up all privacy as builders have often compensated in ways to maximize privacy.

For instance while the homes are often not spaced far apart side to side, a lot of the new construction patio homes have either minimal windows on the sides of the home, or take advantage of transom style windows that still provide plenty of light, but keep people from looking directly into their neighbors homes.

Another technique is designing a courtyard area that the home forms around.  That gives the owners an alcove tucked away to enjoy some privacy.

Additionally, patio home communities might have an increased number of small cul de sac streets.  Pie shaped lots change the angles between homes and provide a bit more space in the back.

And lastly, some patio home communities, especially some of the more established ones, may have mature trees, and yes, may even back to woods or water features that open the distance from your patio home to the nearest neighbors.
